Amoniac plant shutdown Profertil in Bahía Blanca / Argentina

 

 

CATALYST CHANGE: DESULFURIZER A&B, DEHYDROGENERATOR, METHANATOR, PRIMARY REFORMER AND SECONDARY REFORMER

 

Nexxo S.A. participated in Profetil Shutdown 2010 (last shutdown was in 2008, where the Ammonia Converter was changed successfully). On August 2010 our company went to Bahia Blanca, Argentina with all the specialized equipment and certified personnel to perform tasks in inert atmospheres. This involved 4 reactors (Whole Catalyst change) 1 Reformer furnace (Unidense Charge of 264 tubes) and Skimming of the Secondary Reformer. Works were performed in day shift, in this opportunity they were locally supported by Micser Company, from Bahía Blanca; which provided to our company all logistic support, visas, insurances and others.

 

Work details developed were:
Methanator discharge and charge. Equipment with Catalyst high Pirosphophoric, and high temperature.
Desulphurizer Discarge and Charge A & B
Dehydrogenerator Discharge and Charge, equipment with Catalyst high pirosphophoric, and high temperature. It caused some problems with our filtered unit.
Higher Skimming and Secundary Reformer Catalyst Charge.
Unidense Cahrge of Primary Reformer, 264 tubes.

 

Works began in August 18th 2010 and ended in September 6th, finishing 3 days before our estimated original program and according to Profetil Schedule.
