First mechanical Decoking and ultrasonic inspection for F 201 & F 202 furnaces, unit U 111, Ecopetrol REFICAR in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia

Nexxo S.A once again performed works at the REFICAR plant, in Cartagena, Colombia; but this time, making the first mechanical decoking (pigging) and ultrasonic inspection for steps 1, 2, 3 & 4, corresponding to F 201 & F 202 furnaces (8 steps, in total) together with our strategic partner in Colombia; Blastingmar S.A.
The works started on January the 23rd, ending on February the 8th, with absolutely satisfaction from our client: REFICAR. Using our double pumping unit, making in parallel with double shifts (as for the inspection and the cleaning) time was reduced on a 50% during the equipment shutdown. Besides, it´s important to highlight that there were no safety incidents nor environmental deviation; showing one more time the Nexxo, Blastingmar and Ecopetrol´s (Cartagena de Indias) commitment.
